Hertz Assistant Mgr Confronted by Asst Mgr in threatening manner in lobby, while others looked on. Embarrasing and intimidating experience Internet

I also was a victim from a Hertz Asst Mgr on a personal basis. June 2011 I returned a rental and was checking out. The first I knew a Asst Mgr was confronting me, in a threatening manner, in my face about smokong in the car. I tried to explain that I was in town because My Brother had passed away from cancer and I didn't remember if I had smoked in the car. But he didn't give me the chance to explain. He was VERY RUDE and Threatening. He said he found ashes in the car. I explained the car was dirty when I picked it up, I was pre-occupied with my Brothers situation, not concerned with a dirty car. He wasn't going to take no for a answer, and insisted I was guilty. So, to get him out of my face I admitted to possibly smoking, he then threatened me with provoking my PRIVELAGE to rent a car from Hertz, INDEED. Does he know that there are others who rent cars, and the Privelage is theirs, not mine. By the way he is about 5'9" im 5'5"-He's about 40 years old, im 70 years old-I'm in mourning and he was worried about smoking in a dirty Hertz piece of junk. Nowhere was there a NO SMOKING sign posted in the building, the car or on the contract.When I returned home I filed a complaint with Hertz, on their online survey, I had his business card with his name and title, but was never contacted back. I wish I would have saved the jerks card, so I could publish his name but, after reporting him I spit on it and threw it in the garbage, where He and Hertz belong. NEVER AGAIN WILL I RENT FROM hertz. Bad Co. Stay away. beware. They just might revolke your privelage of renting their junky, dirty cars,or have one of their GOONS beat you up.
