I bought a HP laptop and had nothing but problems with it. Finally, the mother board fried. I called HP tech support. The moron kept arguing with me, saying my computer was not supposed to have two hard drives, which, although frustrating, is beside the point. After a bunch of hassle, HP agreed to send a return shipping label and provide a refund. I returned it a couple months ago, but HP never sent a refund check! I e-mailed HP executives numerous times to no avail. I filed a Better Business Bureau and Attorney General complaint, but HP did nothing. I am filing more complaints today.
Stay away from HP...their products are poor quality, and they have no customer service!

How long did you have this computer? Why were you returning it to HP for a refund? Did you buy it direct from them or a store?
Was it under warranty? Did you install a second hard drive on the computer?
have you called them and not just emailed them about it? Dod you check the tracking to make sure they recieved it?
You left out a lot of information on your report.
The hard rive thing has me bothered. Did you install a second hard drive? If so, that may be what got your motherboard. If its not designed to support a second hard drive, then you may have over taxed it and fried it out.
