iRobot voids warranties to U.S. military serving overseas Bedford , Massachusetts

iRobot might not honor warranties for products sold to Soldiers stationed overseas.

I recently purchased a 564 pet series Roomba.  I pulled it out of the box, followed the directions for setup and charged it over night.  The next morning I tried it out and found the right wheel wont operate

properly and we were given an error 10 message the Roomba just spins in circles.  My wife called customer service and after about 10 minutes of troubleshooting was told there was a problem with

the Roomba and it needed to be replaced.  The NEXT sentence out of the customer service representative's mouth was that the warranty was void because we took it out of the United States.

I am a U.S. Army officer stationed in Germany (this was explained to customer service).  I purchased the Roomba from amazon.com and had it shipped to my APO address which is a U.S. postal address - where it was delivered to a U.S. post office on a U.S. Army post.  The company, iRobot, sells their products in Germany apparently Soldiers stationed overseas don't fall into this category either.

So, bottom line, iRobot sold me a product that didn't work then told me that the U.S. warranty was void because I was overseas (again - I'm a Soldier stationed overseas) and I didn't qualify for the German warranty - even though I live there.
