Like many of you, I was deceived by JTV's claim that andesine labradorite was a natural gemstone and untreated. It is a "natural" gemstone if it is not glass or plastic. No doubt that red and green labradorites are heat treated and color infused yellow labradorite probably coming from the Mexican mines. I wanted to let everyone know that right now, JTV is refunding labradorite purchases. I just received a credit for everything that I ever purchased. So follow up..

By the way, last Sunday, 8/31/08, I watched Scott push yellow labradorite from Mexico with his "hint, hint...buy it NOW". He had a big "story" that he eventually told about which was that the Mexican government has purchased 5 million acres around the mind and that all of the surface stones are gone. To get more rough material, they will need expensive heavy mining equipment to extract further gemstones. Well, after the fiasco with the red and green andesine labradorite, what do you think?

A final caution....beware of JTV's estimated retail value quotes...I think they are highly over inflated and, of course, without substantiation (which you will not get from JTV) You must certainly use caution when thinking you are purchasing an $800 ring for $99.00!

marsha
i have been trying to tell people over and over. about gem stones being an investment. and like you said scott is now pushing mex/yellow lab. well again its an investment game. i bought 2 14 ct yellow/labs 3 years ago. for basicly dirt cheep.
and if. thats a big if. scotts story is true down the road then good. however i wont jump on the hyped up band wagon now as tho im going to make big bucks. however
the yellow labs i bought 3 years ago might make me a profit.
however at $72.00 each i basicly have nothing to lose. or ill make pendents for my granddaughter out of them. and she can hold on to them untill the time to sell.
