J&J towing Florida rude rip off towing company

First off let me say that all towing companies in the state of florida is regulated by there local goverment. It does not matter what towing company is called to the scene of the crash, or impound. The only thing that may very is the distance to that companies yard. I have been in the towing buisness for over 18 years, I have worked at two companies in Florida. Either one of the companies took credit cards, and checks for any kind of impound. the ad in the yellow pages is for brake down calls only. We only acepted cash.

Now when you purchase insurance for your car, and decline full coverage, that is a gamble you take. The deal with the plates are they are attached o the vehicle, and at the time when your vehicle is in there yard they have labor, and storage against that vehicle. The law says anything attached to the vehicle stays intil the bill is satisfied. I am almost certian that you might have been a little upset, and was worried about your girlfriend and maybe you were not listing to everything they were telling you. It happens to all of us. They removing personal effects not atached to the vehicle is like this. Only the registered owner of the vehicle can retrieve personal affects not attached to the vehicle. The owner must show proper ID when doing so. This law was established for tow companies to follow to protect you the customer

J&J Towing is a reputible company. We have asked them to run a call when we had customers down in ther neck of the woods. They have been nothing but professional everytime dealing with them on the phone, as for there professional service to the motoring public. To call this company a ripp off company is wrong. These are very hard working people that put there life on the line everyday to help others. You would have gotton the same information from me if your vehicle was in my yard. We understand that people get into wrecks. Sometimes it is there fault sometimes not. this is why you should consider full coverage insurance.

Also on the threat you say you gotton. The law also states that florida is a no dumping state you can not legaly dump your vehicles in our tow yards. to protect us the towers from that we can put a towing lien agianst your vehicle regerstrations to include cars boats, and cycles intil you settle your bill with that wrecker company. Trust me you will pay it might be next year but you will pay sooner or later.

There is a lot of cost in running a towing, and recovery buisness insurance cost of fuel saleries taxes, and most of all equipment. It is not cheap to run a buisness like J&J has built. Alot of money and hard work goes into this type of operation.

The reason most towing companies only accept cash for impound tows is due to the fact that so many people have written bad checks, or cancelled the checks after receiving the vehicle, we have even out of the kindness of our hearts accepted a debt card on stolen recovered vehicle only to have to fight the owner later for having pulled cash from the card moments after getting the vehicle back and then letting the transaction bounce. Just because a towing company takes credit cards for normal "I'm broke down" tows doesn't mean they are crooked if they take only cash for impounded vehicle. Also just for notes if your vehicle is impounded because you received a DUI, DUS, or DWI don't give the towing company a hassle about paying for YOUR mistake. Thank you.

Maybe if the federal govermnent were to regulate towing companies then the level of courtesy would increase greatly. Also, companies that do not accept credit cards are usually crooked.

FIRST OF ALL, J & J TOWING IS NOT A RIP OFF COMPANY. WE DO ALL WE CAN TO HELP PEOPLE. BUT WE ALSO HAVE TO FOLLOW THE LAWS OF THE STATE. AND THE STATE SAY ONLY THE OWNER OF A VEHICLE CAN PICK UP THE VEHICLE, AND TAKE ANY PERSONAL ITEMS OUT OF THE VEHICLE. AND THAT'S WHEN A LETTER IS REQUESTED. NOW WITH ANYTHING ATTACHED TO THE VEHICLE STAYS ON THE VEHICLE TILL THE VEHICLE IS PAID FOR, AND THE TAG IS ATTACHED TO THE VEHICLE. NOW WITH THE RUDENESS, I DON'T KNOW THE SITUTION THAT DAY DON'T KNOW WHO WAS RUDE FIRST, BUT TO CALL J & J TOWING, A RIP OFF COMPANY IS JUST WRONG.
