I purchases the above product after it was marketed to me online when I did a search on "Mac Anti-virus." I have found that when it works (operative statement) Kaspersky is one of the best AV products for catching rootkits and malware *before* they install themselves on your computer.  We have a mixed PC/Mac environment.  So forked over the big bucks and bought it and the CD backup, installed it on three Macs, one running Snow Leopard, two running Lion. 

Since Macs "sleep" most of the time it is rare you shut them down.  However, when I did attempt to do this after some software updates they would not--and the only solution was a forced shutdown.  Plus I had been having problems with websurfing as the product seemed to interfere with the use of Firefox.  I did not connect the two right away because it was a week or so after the Kaspersky install.  Finally, today, three weeks (and therefore one week past the 2 week return period) after tearing my hair out trying to figure out what was wrong, I finally discerned it was the AV product.  Uninstalling it was also a huge hassle since the uninstaller seemed to evaporate and there was no way to simply drag it to the trash and eliminate it.  As soon as I successfully uninstalled Kaspersky Universal Security my Mac's began to function normally again.

So I paid roughly $75 plus $10 for the CD for a product that most likely NEVER worked with OSX Lion in the first place, which in my book is tantamount to consumer fraud.  I also think that a 2 week return window for something that does NOT WORK is beyond feeble.  Kaspersky is VERY aggressive on the sales end and not at all pleasant on the return cycle which I have experienced previously when a product did not work with another windows OS.  Needless to say, I am sick of being unpaid QA for the company and sick of paying for something that does not work.  I will never buy their products again and suggest you think twice before you do as well.
