I went to cancun in july of 2012. At the airport there were many travel agents offering you free stuff for you to agreed to go with them for a seminar. We agreed to go the following day with somebody. Cristian Reyes picked us up at the hotel to take us to Krystal hotel. We had breakfast with Francisco Mariles who eventually took us to see Michael Alvarez, the salesperson. He told us about Krystal International vacation Club and how we could invest. There were other incentives like exchanges some of my weeks with RCI who has resorts around the world if I did not wanted to sell all my wks. A free membership for 2 years with ICE Platinum rewards where they offered resorts around the world and you can stay for 49.00 to 399.00usd/wk. The maintance fee we only needed to worried if we were planning to keep it for vacationing but because we were going to sell the weeks to Continental we did not had to pay a fee. All we needed to do was to give 13,400.00 down and then 772.00 monthly for 60 months. They had a broker who was Continental Connections who would buy all 50wks for the next 5 yrs.  We bought 50 wks.  Each year they were buying 10wks for 5 years starting 2012.  In October 2012, Continental  was going to deposit 21,000 in our acct  then every year in january Continental  was going to deposit 21,000 x 4 more years. So I thought, if I am getting 21,000 in October, I can pay off my credit card and save the money so I can continued paying the monthly fee of 772.00 till I get the other money in jan 2013.   Since I did not take my checking acct with me ,  they told me that Continental was going to call me and that if I did not hear from them in about a month to call them.

After a month, i contacted them.  They said that this is not the way it works that they list the wks for rent ( Michael said that Continental was buying the 50 wks)  and once they have a customer,  I will have to call ( michael never said that I needed to make a call) the resort to see if they have it available then they will pay me according to the weeks the customer wants to rent ( Michael said I would get 21,000 year for 5 years). Continental needed 695.00 to start the process of listing my weeks and it was going to be a one time fee ( Michael never mentioned this). I called Krystal and spoke with Martha Gonzalez (01152-998-848-9800) who stated that Krystal does not guaranteed the rental of the weeks( but Michael said Continental was buying  not listing them for rent) and everything was in writing and we had signed a contract and that we had 5 days to cancel the contract if we did not agreed with it.   But since it has been more than 5 days if we wanted to cancel there is a penalty of 40% of the total amount of the contract. I started searching on the Internet and realized that I have been a victim of fraud but I am not staying quiet because I am certain that I am not the first one and will not be the last one.  I know that my story will help somebody out there.   I need to SPEAK UP!

I was able to get my money back but others are being lied to by the con artists here.  Go to Profeco if you can...fight back.....Fight with your credit card company........tell others and continue the fight.  I was also told of guaranteed payments.  Write to PROFECO/Cancun and let them know...If there are a lot fo complaints, the goverment might take action.

Krystal: bad reputation

For a "seminar"? sounds like a scam to me. If it helps, you should know the mexican law forbids the offering of free gifts, free vacation certificates or any other promotion strategies WITHOUT informing the consumer the specific purpose of the offer, therefore, if the salesperson didn't tell you he was intending to sell you a timeshare he broke the law, and that's considered as a fraudulent sales practice. I know a company that assists purchasers who were scammed by timeshare salespeople, the consultation is for free and they can give you an advice on what you should do now, this is their website:

http://www.timesharescam.com/

give it a try and see how it goes, just remeber not to pay any upfront fees , and thanks for the warning!

Krystal Cancun- Sales Reps are the greatest LIARS you will ever meet!!

AUTHOR: Sylvia - (Canada)

Call your credit card and dispute the charges right away.  Everything they promise to you during the presentation is not written in the contract.  They will fight you to keep your money.  If they are reputable hotel they will understand if their sales representative have misled or lied to us during the sales presentation and refund the  money without any problem.  Of course they will not do this because this is their modus operandi,  bunch of low lifes!!  This is not a matter of buyers remorse, this is a total deceit.  We have signed contracts for our house mortgages, car loans, home credit line and never read all the small prints and we never had a problem like this, because everything that the  bank representative or realtor told us are truthful and not bunch of lies..

A lot of KIVC victims of deceitful sales tactics have posted their experience in the internet and there's so many websites out there that will provide you some information including krystalcancunscam.  Only the Mexican government can stop this.  Only them can lay legal charges on Krystal.  Individual citizen don't have the ability to fight one on one on this purported "scheme"- To this date they have not refunded my money.  Goodluck getting your money back!!- as bad as this sound they just lied to you to get you to own their timeshare:-(

We stayed at Krystal Cancun during the week of Christmas of 2012.  Our story is very similar to yours.  Our sales representative is Michael Alvarez too.   Have you tried to cancel contract with them?

Me Too a Victim of Krystal cancun dishonest sales representative Michael Alvarez

AUTHOR: Sylvia - (Canada)

POSTED: Sunday, November 04, 2012

Me Too a Victim of Krystal cancun dishonest sales representative Michael Alvarez, there should be something we can do to put this Krystal out of business for ripping people off for the way they sell their membership.  Michael Alvarez is a very dishonest person.  He made the membership sounds like a good investment which he knows 100%  isn't.
