I am absolutely appalled by this rip off company. I found one of their catalogues on a plane, and thought that this company would be a good deal, as they advertise very cute things at a reasonable price. I finally decided to buy some things online, quite a few actually, and started to get a bit suspicious when I received the following message:

"Dear ******* ******,

Due to the popularity of the items listed
below, we have exhausted our supply and
regret that we must cancel your order. We
apologize for any inconvenience this may
have caused.

As you can see, there is no mention of a refund, or what they are going to do for me to make up for the fact that I have already paid for this item. I got onto the website to review the order when I noticed that each time that I check my order, there are more items on "back order". So.....

I went to my online banking website to see if they had refunded the cost of the item that they "cancelled". To my dismay, my original order of $307.05 was charged to my bank, but as I scrolled down I noticed 4 more charges from Lakeside Collections, for the following amounts:

1) $110.55
2) $20.65
3) $16.25
4) $7.65

Add that up and that is more that $150 of overcharges, but the kicker is that I live paycheck to paycheck, so they not only screwed me for that amount, but I have also accrued over 4 overdraft fees...so far. I still have 3 more bills that are supposed to come through, and lo and behold, I cannot get ahold of anyone at the company to take care of these charges. When it is all said and done, I will be over $400 overdrawn in my bank. It brings me to tears. I have no idea how I am going to pay my bills now.

I am so disgusted when I read all of these reports, and feel a bit stupid for not researching them before sending them so much money. I am baffled as to how they are still in business. How can they sleep at night when they make a living off of f**king people over that have no money as it it. That is why we shop there, because most people living on limited incomes need to shop cheap.

I don't even know how to dig myself out of this hole that they have stuck me in. It makes me sick that these people can even sleep at night.

Any suggestions as to how I can get my money back, please let me know! Thank you so much!
