I have placed 4 (FOUR) orders on March 13, 2015 at the LightInTheBox website. The items  purchased incude upcoming wedding decorations and accessories.

Right afteri placed an order, i got 4 SMS notifications stating that the funds have been taken from my account by LIGHT/ MINI IN THE BOX COVENTRY GBR. However i did not receive any e-mail confirmations on my orders.

The next day on 14 March, 2015 I received a so called "ticket note" from Lightinthebox Customer Service asking me to verify my identity with some kind of an ID - drivers licence; or other and the picture of credit card, where only 4 last digits and my full name will show. It shall be noted that this note is referencing only 1 of the 4 orders.

I got puzzled and decided to check, whether the rest of my orders are ok. So i responded back to the ticket note, telling the customer service that i understand their terms and perhaps will be considering to send them my details if they confirm to me that the rest of the orders are ok. 

The response i received was that they are waiting for my verification and if i dont do this within 10 days, they will cancel my order. 

I responded back reiterating that i am considering to send them the documents that they request (although it sounds very fidhy to me), but want to make sure that they have the track of the rest of my orders. Otherwise, if they can not confirm, i want the full amount for all 4 orders back.

The response i received to this was, we will send you your shipment within 5-6 days and they closed the communication. Shortly after, i noticed that they canceled this particular order that they were referencing. This sounds very unreasonable considering that they said they will be canceling the orders in 10 days. Additiinally, i did not ask them to cancel my order. Ok, let it aside, if they have canceled my order, where is my confirmation that i will receive my funds back???

The whole set up of the website is very fishy. Even though it has all terms and conditions written out clearly, and they promise that there is a customer care that you contact once you place your order - THIS IS NOT TRUE. You can only reach customer care if they contact you. 

i am very frustrated and sad that only with 30 days left to the wedding i relied on this website and now being stressed with wedding preparations anyways i have this additnal stress adn perhaps loss of $1k right before the wedding!!!!!

I am left puzzled and outrageous when all i wanted is to understand whether they will process my orders or not.

WHY IS THIS WEBSITE STILL FUNCTIONING IF THERE ARE SO MANY CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS AND SO MANY OMISSIONS, TRAPS AND FISHY MOMENTS AT THIS WEBSITE???? IT CLEARLY SOUNDS LIKE A FRAD COMPANY. WHY ARE WE WRITING ALL THESE REPORTS HERE ONLY TO SEE THAT THEY STILL FOOL CUSTOMERS???? 

Anyways, the shipment i chose was 5-6 working days as of 13 March, which means that hipothetically i should be receiving my goods on 20 or 23rd March. Maybe i am naive, but i am still hoping as a bride that my goods will arrive in good faith otherwise i WILL find the way to refund my $1k back!!!!!!
