Lowes advertises 0% APR when you use their credit card for certain "qualifying" purchases; however, what the store I shopped from never told me, nor is it advertised, is that the store HAS TO CALL the credit departement when you make the purchase and tell them to apply the 0% APR to that purchase/item(s). This happened to me twice!
It wasn't until the 3rd qualifying purchase that an employee knew about this and made the call. First I was shocked, now I'm just mad. On the two previous trips, I dealt with 2 separate cashiers and 2 separate sales people. Not one of them said anything about calling. And when I applied for the card, no one said "make sure you have the store call to get you your promotional interest rate".
So now I have to return to the store with receipts from the previous purchases so they can call Lowes Credit and get the interest rate changed to 0%. I hope I get my interest charges refunded too. That's just bad business. So if you use that lowes card to buy something major with 0% APR, you better check your statements to make sure you aren't getting sacked with interest.

at the time of purchase you should of been given a coupon to be scanned at the register. the only time that an employee is to call the credit center for approval is if the promotion is NOT going on or if the product you are buying is not a qualifying item. if the employee has to call the credit center for approval it is going to take a couple statements for it to show that is has been put on promotion, but you are not held responsible for the interest. you are still going to receive a bill every month giving you the option to pay off the balance before the 6 or 12 month no intrest ends.
if you have any questions or concerns all you have to do is call the store and ask to speak with their credit corrdinator and he/she will be able to further assist you... i am sorry that you had to go through all this. i wish that i could go back and make your shopping experiance a better one!
