Siding Advertised on sale 1.83, but Lowes would not honor the price
On the Lowes Website, the Bristol Lowes Store has the James Hardee Cedarmill Lap Siding, Item # 26892 for $1.83. I wanted to buy 138 pieces, however the Bristol store will only sell me four pieces at that price. They have more of the same identical item in stock, but they say it is a different item number. They say the manufacture is changing the item number, but they refuse to sell it to me at the sale price. The online item states that is on sale until July 8th, 2014. It does not say that this item is discontinue and will sale the quantity that is available only at the Bristol store. This item does exist at other Lowes store, but not at the sale price. This is a illegally/fraud advertisement. I contacted the Corp office in N.C., but they told me they wasn't responsible and they REFUSED to sell me the item.

TRYING TO BE CHEAP?

You say I'm trying to be CHEAP. When a big corporation has a item on SALE,they should have to responsible and honor the sale price. Also, you said I was trying to avoid shipping. Did you even look at the AD???? Hardy board can't be shipped, it is SIDING, it is VERY HEAVY made out of concrete and it is a HEAVY BUILDING MATERIAL. It cannot be shipped to you and You are REQUIRED to pick it up at your local Lowes. Next time, review/look at the information that is provided, before you start making judgements against the other person and start calling them NAMES.

The price was a QUOTE from the store !!!

Who are YOU ???? The quote WAS from the Bristol Store and the Lowes Online website. However the Bristol store only had four broken pieces that was available. The website states that the Bristol, Va. store has it on sale. No other store had it on sale. When I went to the Bristol Store, they had FOUR boards, same as online stated. They REFUSE to sell me any more at that price even though they had the identical product in stock, different item no. If the Lowes website is only online, why does the Online Website make you select a store? The ad DID NOT state limited quanity, or discontinue item number. Again, WHO ARE YOU ? Are you a representive of Lowes? I have contacted Lowes Corp. office and I was basicly told that Lowes would not honor their advertising. Look at the ad. They had two different ads. The first one, the board was on sale until July 8th, 2014. After I disputed the ad, the board was changed to be ON SALE until July 15th. Again, the ad is stated as ON SALE, NOT as a discounted item number and there is NO limited quanity. Why wasn't the ad simply removed since they wasn't going to sell the product at the sale price? Instead the product/ad was extended to be on SALE until July 15th, 2014?

Your issue is that you are confusing the online and in store inventory. And I quote from your own post.....The online item states that is on sale until July 8th, 2014. The ONLINE and IN STORE inventory are controlled by two different dept. What this means for YOU is that while the ONLINE price may be on sale, the IN STORE inventory may NOT. Its two ENTIRELY different shops. Online and instore. While it shares the NAME it doesnt share the inventory OR pricing. YOU are trying to force them into giving you the in store item at the online price. They will to a point, but at some point they will tell you to order the amount you want ONLINE!!! Im betting you want them to give it to you for the online price so you dont have to pay for the shipping.First, you have NOT been ripped off, quite the opposite. YOU are attempting to get them to honor a price that they really cant because you wish to be cheap.
