Netflix sent an email offering a FREE month if I would rejoin.  Looked like a reasonable offer so I clicked the link and--bingo--the service was turned back on.  All was well until I noticed a charge on my credit card for $7.99.  That was odd since the month was free but I figured it would go away.  After two weeks it was still there so I canceled service.  Still, the $7.99 didn't go away.

I called NetFlix to ask them why they charged me for a FREE month.  They said that someone else on my account must have had a free month sometime in the past year.  So why did they send the email offering the FREE month then?

Good question she said, but they were not about to live up to their marketing email.  I was stuck paying $7.99 for a free month.  What a ripoff!!!  Don't believe that marketing--once they get your credit card it's like an open tap on your account into theirs.
