On 10/14/2015 I bought a refurbished PC online from newegg.com.  The computer software was counterfeit and crashed while I was using it.  I returned the counterfeit PC to the original shipper at 17560 Rowland St. City of Industry CA, 91748 on 10/30/2015.  The UPS tracking number confirmed that they received the crashed PC.  # 1Z02319W9090402288.

They refuse to return the $284.99 they took from my Visa Debit card.  Everytime I contact customer service,  I get the same messages from representatives Rebecca and Robin.

The messages keep telling me to return the PC to the original shipper.  I already returned the PC and have proof via the UPS confirmation number.

I sent newegg.com the tracking number and everything.  But they still refuse to return my money.  They keep responding to my emails with the same email messages.  They are intentionally avoiding my emails as an evasive ploy to dodge liability.

This matter has been going on for over a month, and I still have not gotten my money back.  At the time I'm out of $284.99 and I have nothing from newegg.com to show for it.

This is ludicrous.

Thank you.

Lawrence Williams

The Matter Has Not Been Resolved

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Friday, November 20, 2015

Although, newegg.com has filed a rebuttal, they have not addressed the issue yet.   In addition, their customer service representatives are disassociated, inepted and are not very customer service orientated.  Through out the process,  they have sent me repeated email after email repeating the same information.  It was like talking to a 2 year old child.  There is no communication between representatives and everytime you call it's like starting your delima all over again.  That's why I refuse to call customer service.  I had to force them to be able to read, and understand my issue.  AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN IT RIGHT.  I keep asking them to refund a check, because the original payment method has changed.  But typical of poor customer service, I am still trying to get them to understand this fact.  It's been months going thru this issue with newegg.com.   THEY STILL HAVE NOT CORRECTED THE MATTER AND I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY REFUND.

Hello Lawrence,

Thank you for taking the time to post this. I’m truly sorry for your entire experience and the wait you had to endure to receive this refund.

After locating and reviewing your account, I found that a refund of $284.99 was issued on 11/19 and you were email the confirmation of this action.

Depending on how quickly your bank can process the funds, you should see the refund back into your account within 3 – 5 business days. If you do not see the funds within that time, please email us at wecare@newegg.com and reference this post in your email.

In the meantime, I have brought this experience to Accounting, Returns, and Customer Service management for review and improvement.

Thank you again,

-Mike (Newegg Support)
