Oakwood Acceptance ripoff, YES THEY DO NEED TO BE STOPPED Austin Texas

My husband and myself bought a home from Oakwood in 1995 and from day one we have fought them all the way. They was supposed to set our home in March of that year and it finally got set in August of that year.

Remind you that we had to make payments on this home while we wasn't even in the home. The home wasn't put together right, we coundn't get them out there to get the problems fixed.

The office we bought the home from closed up and with no forwarding info. Talk about being left out in the dark. So we quit making our payments to fix the problems with the home and of course the calls started coming all day long everyday.

They promised that they would get someone out there to finish the repairs yeh right never happened. Then in 2001 the home burned to the ground because of faulty wiring that they wouldn't repair.

The insurance paid all but about 3000 of what was owed we told them that they can have the property in exchange for the rest of what was owed. WE just wanted them out of our lifes.

Guess what that didn't happen we heard from the IRS today and they said that we owe them money because Oakwood turned in that we recieved money from them. That didn't happen.

Our credit rating is for the birds because of all the crap Oakwood had put us through. I wish there was something that can be done with them.
