On June 25th I went to wal*mart and moneygrammed by down payment on a forebearance plan of $4,275.00 The lady at wal*mart screwed up and sent it to ford motor credit with the account number of my mortgage company. I called ocwen on june 28th and spoke to a barbara and she took the reference number of my moneygram and said thank you for calling it in and your next payment of 2400.00 would be due july 22nd. On july 18th a real estate man came to my door and wanted to know how soon I was vacating the property. I lost it. I called ocwen and they said they never received the money. I pulled out the moneygram and told him the reference number and that it was sent at 9:38 in the morning. He said they never received it. I told him I had called on June 28th and he said yes it was posted that I had called. I said why didn't they tell me then. He said I don't know. He gave me the name of a manager by the name of Mr. Pepe. He told me to call moneygram and redirect the money to them. He said the house was sold but when they got the money they can rescind the sale. I called money gram and they said it would be in ocwen's hands within 48 hours. I called Mr. Pepe and he told me to fax the moneygram copies to him, which I did. He said he would contact the people about rescinding the sale of the home.

He would call me the next day which was to be july 19th. On monday, july 23rd I called ocwen to find out what was going on and the guy by the name of Anthony that answered the phone said I had to go into a new forebearance plan. I said okay. He said they would send me back the $4,275.00 and a new forebearance plan which would raise my payments to 2800 a month for the next 2 years. When I signed the forebearance plan and faxed it back to them as soon as they received it I was to go and moneygram the 4,275.00 as the down payment for the plan. I received a call today July 25th from Mr. Pepe saying that the sale of the home was rescinded. I asked for paper work to prove it and he said as long as I was getting a forebearance plan that was proof enough. I told him that the 2800 was a steep payment for me to make and he said he would have Anthony call me.

I just got off the phone with Anthony and now I am being told that they are not accepting the forebearance plan from me unless I can come up with $6600 as a down payment. I questioned him where the 4,275.00 was and he said he couldn't answer that. I told him I could make the payment of 2400 and he said the account is in the real estate owned department again. He would get back with me on Monday as to if they can work something out but in the meantime my home sits where it could be sold. They are a bunch of jerks. I have a 3rd party error which as soon as I found out I rectified it.

Predatory lenders are rapidly folding. So it's just a matter of time before OCWEN goes down the tubes. All of this is good news!
