I have just received this email from you. (2005/06/09 -- 10:16 MST) It tells me that my rebate has been "Accepted" and it will take 6 -8 weeks to arrive. (message quoted in full next below.)

That is unacceptable.
When I bought the item from Tiger Direct, the promotion said it would take 4-6 weeks to get the rebate. I have the electronic email from you with a date of 2005/05/01. That email is here quoted, next below:

I then clicked on the internal link and got this email in return, again dated 2005/05/01. Again, that email is quoted next below:

You have in effect defrauded me. American consumer law dictates that fulfillment of special rebates and offers may take *no longer than* 4 -6 weeks, after the requirements for that rebate have been fulfilled.
By my records, and your own emails, my requirements were fulfilled at exactly 09:16 Mountain Standard Time on Sunday, 01 May, 2005. The 4 to 6 week clock started that day.
If indeed my check for three dollars does not arrive in my mailbox by, at the latest, Wednesday, 15 June, 2005, I will forward this email, and all of yours and all my supporting paperwork (hard copy invoicing, tracking info, payment info and *your* hardcopy info about the rebate process) to both the Fair Trade Commission in Washington, and to the customer service department at Tiger Direct.

One was for an 8 week delay, now reduced to a 2 week further delay.
I have all correspondence with them and original vendor to support my claim
