Oreck Direck LLC Sent what appeared to be a used sweeper to me Long Beach Mississippi

When I received my "new" Oreck sweeper, I noted that the box was in poor condition and was not hard and firm like a new corrugated box should be. It was also double taped.

After opening, I noted that the plastic bag covering the sweeper was partially ripped, it did not completely cover the sweeper and the power cord was wrapped around it & the sweeper.

I ordered a lime green one and this one was a blue one. Underneath the sweeper, the power cord was wrapped around the handle of the sweeper and everything was in disarray.

The plastic bag that contained the free sweeper bags had tears in it and the ink on the bag was worn off in several places. Appeared very used.

All the paper work for the sweeper was laying loose and the corners were folded over and some corners were bent over and appeared to have been used or shuffled around a lot.

There was also a gouge or tear in the inside on some cardboard container that held the "free" canister sweeper. And there was dust on the plastic cord holders.

It was evident to me that they had sent a sweeper that had been evidently sent back to them. I was unable to reach customer service until the next day since it was late when I opened my package.

They sympathized with me but still insisted that somebody did something to the sweeper and container after it left them. So, in essence, they insinuated that it was either UPS, or me, the customer.

A word of advice, if you order anything from Oreck, inspect it while the delivery person is in your presence and refused the package if it is not right.
