Oreck Oreck XL Silver, scratched my hardwood Cookeville, Tennessee

 I bought an oreck siver XL in May, before buying I ask the question to a customer service rep, were they safe for hardwood floors, I was told yes. after using I started seeing deep scratches in my floors and realized it was the cleaner doing it, turn the cleaner upside down , and on the plate there were scratches also and the plate was worn badly. I had a hardwood professional out and he also said the scratches were from the vacuum cleaner. Well anyway I have over 5000.00 dollars in damages now to my floors, and Oreck wants me to send the vacuum back so they can look at it, are they crazy? They want to fix the bottom of the vacuum cleaner and act like it did not do it. I sent pics of the floor and vac, but it wasn't good enough  for them. So I am looking for an attorney to handle my case.
