We were charged twice for the company picking up the unit (100 dollars) and I still have not recived reimbursement. Also a bunch of items came up missing after we unpacked everything. When I opened the pod I could tell that someone had opened it and left it exposed to the elements, because there were leaves and dust all over the place, not how it was when I packed it in august. What they do is have you buy a lock w their logo on it, then when they come to pick it up (which will be days later then what you agree with them on the phone) they take it back and ransack it for valuables because they have a skeloton key that unlocks all the units w their locks. At first I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called the customer service. They did nothing to credit my account for their overcharge mistake and refused to return or even answer my calls. The guy over the phone said he sent some manager an email. Big deal I could have done that.

Delivery Charge Resolution and Lock Clarification

AUTHOR: 1-800-PACK-RAT Communications - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, December 17, 2010

Greetings,

I want to address your concern about being double charged first.  There are charges for delivery and pickups as stated in every quote and contract.  If you were legitimately double charged then please e-mail info@1800packrat.com with ATTN: Communications in the subject line and give us a few details about where the issue took place (the address) and the current status of the issue.  We have a 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee and we will resolve the matter expediently.

Regarding your second concern that someone from our company opened your container and displaced items, that is simply not possible.  Our locks are deluxe no-cut key styled provided by a third-party and have only one key which is given to the customers.  Also, our warehouses are secured with monitoring protocols.  We're sorry that you had a negative experience with our company.  We would like to address your concerns directly.  Please contact us in the manner mentioned in the above paragraph.  Thank you for choosing 1-800-PACK-RAT.  We look forward to making you a happy customer in the future.
