my husband and i had great credit until we applied for a loan to refinace our house, taking advantage of the great interest rates. we were surprised to find that our credit report contained a couple of entries, one of them being palasaides collections. we were approved for the loan under the agreement that the amounts were included in our loan, with payment being made to the credit bureau/collection agency so that all debts were satisfied and credit report would be clear. i wanted to dispute the info, as i knew this could not be. but we were only locked in on the low interest rate for a specific time and the mortgage company convinced me to just agree to include the amount. then it would be considered taken care of and i could request info from the credit bureau before actually paying. the mortgage company helped me to follow up on the couple of entries in question. palasaides only had a name and no other info.the check was given to me to send them when i got the info. it took a couple of months to find out that it was for at&t under a name that isnt either of us. i have perfect credit with at&t,as ihave 3 active cell phones(8+years),4 landlines, and a check that will never be sent.(may need for emergency toilet paper)
