I've rented many cars in the past and I understand the games that are played.  This time it went so far beyond that I felt lied to, cheated and bullied.  First there was an additional charge that was on the bill and I asked what it was and she just said it was standard.  I informed her that I had called and verified the amount prior to coming in to rent the car.  So she said she would take it off this one time.

I noticed the charge was back on when I brought the car back and I was told you can call the manager when you get home.

I was told that if I filled up there at the facility that it would be $4.00 a gal much less than at the gas station.  The gas station going rate was actually $3.49 per gallon.

I was asked if I wanted their insurance and I said no I had my own insurance that would cover it.  She said in a very unfriendly manner that if I got any scratches or any thing else it would come immediately off my credit card.

I was told to write down on a carbon paper any thing that might be wrong with the car and give to the attendant at the booth.  I noticed a couple of scratches by the trunk and wrote them down. I went to leave and there was no one to turn the paper into.

I called when I reached my destination and talked to a representative and she said not to worry.  I did not enjoy having the car and became worried that I would be stuck with unqualified scratches etc.

I returned the car two days early mainly because I couldn't wait to get rid of the car.  I noticed on the bill that it was more than if I had kept it for the entire week and in addition it included a $11.00 per day charge for returning early.  The amount that I had asked to be removed and they had agreed was still included.  She also said I was only one day early returning.  I showed her my paperwork that showed that I had rented the car an hour later than I was returning it.  She said said that I'm sorry but the computer says.   It was on their own paperwork  that showed the right time and she said well it is in the computer this way.

Bottom line not one word that was spoken to me was the truth and I was charged the initial  additional amount that they said they would remove plus the going rate for daily use and the $11.00 per day for bringing it back early.  You can't have it both ways.

This was a very unhappy transaction and if it happened to me it probably is happening to everyone else.

I had gone online and rented through rentalcar.com and had the paperwork with me, I also called PayLess prior to verify the amount that I was being charged.  When I was at their facility I was told well you rented online and that is the problem.

I have called PayLess twice and left a messages for them to call me and have heard nothing.
