Paypal currently is allowing Scammers to Perpetrate ON-LINE FRAUD by allowing Scammers to use their services to SCAM people of their money. Paypal is only interested in making money !!! They allow Internet Gaming Scammers to post and use their services for payment, yet wont guarantee the Services or INTANGIBLE items because they CANT / WONT enforce these items. Example : Son purchased LINDENS for an ON-LINE Game called 2nd Life. The Reseller EINGEE has the Paypal LOGO and uses PAYPAL SERVICES for Payment. The Reseller accepts the funds and Is scamming people out of their money !! When i contacted PAYPAL the opened a Dispute and then closed it within 2 days when the Reseller responded to them that he/she had sent the Credits for LINDENS (Gaming Credits) Paypal took this person @ their word !! They proceeded to close this dispute ! All Paypal is concerned about is MAKING MONEY !!

In my opinion this is akin to AIDING & ABETTING CRIMINALS !! I presented paypal with Documented proof that we werent the only ones who got scammed and they stated that they wont guarantee INTANGIBLE or VIRTUAL ITEMS !!! Then they need to stop AIDING CRIMINALS by refusing to allow the use of their services.  This in my opinion is just like financing terrorism, by allowing FUNDS to be sent over seas !! They are the middle man, the company being used to finance CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES !!

The problem with this report..

..well, where do I begin?. First I will say for the record, that PayPal should not be involved with this type of website. I can not defend them for that and I hope they use better judgment if they wish to remain trusted...

..with that said...correct, they only care about making money. I was under the impression, that most businesses do in order to survive.

But what is happening here, is you are blaming PayPal for you making a bad decision..and expecting them to cover your lack of good judgement. It is in their terms that they to not offer any buyer protection on non tangible goods, everyone is subject to that term, no exceptions.

And speaking of gaming scammers, I was always under the impression that gamers were supposed to "earn" Lindens, not buy them. I would think trying to purchase these, that it is in fact, defrauding other players that are ethical and earning them as per the game play rules.

Basically, in life if you play by the rules, you won't have these kind of problems.

Advise... don't use PayPal anymore to purchase non tangible goods, or goods from some scam site overseas, and goods that are purchased with intent of defrauding other gamers. Karma does tend to be a b***h as they say.

Now if as you state in the report is true, and PayPal is "aiding and abetting criminals", report them to the FBI. Maybe that will help them clean up their act if this accusation is founded.
