I paid fine art.com 20.00 for a CD thru Paypal and credites it to my debit card. The service was not satisfactory and fine art sent the money back to Paypal who stated they refunded the money. They did not.

When I e-mailed them for status, I received an e-mail requesting I update my account with them. They wanted my bank account number, why , I don't know seeing as they had my debit card number.

The refund was supposed to have taken place on 10 Sept 2005. It has not happened. I filed a previous report linking them to AP9 unauthorized withdrawals on my account and my credit union is investigating. Someone needs to get PayPal's attention, quickly!

PayPal

Thank you. The situation was resolved satisfactorily. I read the consumer comment and I realized I did not fully state my case. I did not provide my bank account number as requested and never do. I reported the issue to PayPal's fraud department also.

Scam

The e-mail you received requesting your bank account information was probably a phishing e-mail. You've given your information to a criminal who will be draining your bank account shortly.
