Who would pay for the patent research and patents? We the people would pay the Universities and Hospitals for legitimate research and legitimate patents. But we wouldn't pay for fake medical research that doesn't result in any cures. And we certainly wouldn't fund any attempt to patent rain drops or tree sap.

Clearly you are a representative of the Prescription Drug Cartel. What is your position? Attorney? Lobbyist?, Distributor?, Shareholder? or other. The Drug Cartel hasn't announced a "cure" for any illness since back in the fifties. That is more than sixty years ago.
