Plains Commerce Bank ripoff Sioux Falls South Dakota

I want to warn any and all consumers that even think about applying for the Plains Commerce Bank Total Visa card that before you do, DON'T! I have had a few credit problems in the past and I was looking for a way to improve my credit. I was ripped off completely.

This "credit card" offers a totally unsecured card, with fees that total $250, the exact amount of your credit. You are to pay these fees in monthly installments like a regular card. Although unlike a regular card, you are repeatedly paying these fees and actually getting a valid credit limit is next to impossible. I had been foolish and signed up for this card.

I payed over and above the actual amount due. Automatically, out of every payment comes your $6 montly use fee. So now your payment is already minus six dollars. I had only used the card twice. I made two purchases that totalled $26.28. My "credit limit" at the time was $30, that was after the six dollar fee and the 14 days it takes them to post your payment even though my check cleared within 3 days after they received the payment.

The very next statement that I received reflected a $31.15 over the limit fee. Can you figure this out? I can't and I have never received an answer as to why this is. When you call the consumer "care" line if you actually want to talk to a live person and not an automated service you have to sit on hold. I have spent a total of 2 hours on hold altogether on the several occasions that I have called. I finally got sick of holding and instead have sent off a letter and the cut up card. I am waiting for a response, but I am not hopeful that I will get one. So, please anyone out there considering this PLEASE DON'T!!!!
