I must say, I was surprised when I read Progressive Social Responsibility, which supposedly ties into your core values. I gather I should start by telling you I’ve been a customer of Progressive Insurance Company since 2009. However, actually reading your “core values, corporate objective, rules and determination for excellence. I must have been doing business the last three years with some other insurance company or all levels of your organization truly don’t understand them especially when it comes to integrity.
Well, in January 2011 specifically; Friday, January 7, 2011 @ 10:00am I was in what the law enforcement would considered an incident outside of Clayton County Library aka Lovejoy Branch Library located at 1721 McDonough Road; Hampton, GA 30228. As I stated earlier an incident I was basically getting out of my car and reaching for my laptop and realized the wind picked up and grabbed for the door of my car with my hand and extended my foot between the car and my door so, it would not hit the adjacent car parked parallel to my car. After, I adjusted myself and the door location closer to my car, I exited my car and introduced myself to the passenger’s in the parallel car and asked whether or not if they were okay or did the actually see what just happened and explained the entire ordeal to them and ask them again were they okay. Letting them know I was going into the library. Neither of the ladies said or seems to know that my car door flew opened and almost hit their car that I caught upon impact. I excused myself and went into the library.
After twenty minutes of being inside the security guard came over and asked me to gather my things and go with them. As I was walking with the security guard they told me that the car I hit outside has called the police to fill an accident report. Immediately, I called my great niece that was staying with me to bring my camera from the house. My niece arrived and I took pictures of the car and my car while I waited on the police. When the police arrived he said that since the situation did not involved a moving vehicle that the only thing he could do is report it as an incident.
When the adjustor called me days following, I told them I had pictures of both cars after I answered their questions and the adjustor told me he didn’t need the pictures. I asked him did he come to a conclusion he said no and that he was going to see the actual car and take his own pictures.
Years later I realized my premiums have not dropped tremendously based on the good driving record I assumed I had because all old moving traffic violations should have dropped off. So, I called to speak to a claims adjustor and was given Mark Crum telephone number. I called him and talked to him several times and he seemed interested in the pictures I took; however, this situation was 3 years ago and by then I deleted the memory card and my then cellular telephone stopped working properly and I upgraded to another one. So, now all pictures that I took were deleted and I still searched every external hard drive I own to go as far as getting the police report myself and calling the police officer and doing my own investigation.
Mr. Crum supplied me with the pictures of the other car and while reading the police report I have yet to read that there was a scratch on the actual Chevrolet Cavalier that was parked parallel to my car. I called Mr. Crum again and told him that I will seek out Progressive Management to bring this situation to their attention. My car is actually a Toyota Highlander SUV whereas the Cavalier in question was a two-door sports car. So, I’ve searched for a Cavalier so that I could send some pictures to Mr. Crum and demonstrate while it is very unlikely that my car did any damaged to the other car based on size in height and width. [Dimension]
I have enclosed the pictures I was provided as well as the police report. If you note the bents in the Cavalier is post 7 January 2011 and there’s no way my car would have hit it anywhere along the front door frame from the bottom of the door frame or created any damages above the wheel bearing especially if the cars are parked parallel to one another without a collision hit of some sort. I also included picture of another car along side mine that’s much bigger than the Cavalier and you’ll note my car would not damage the same spot based on dimension if parked parallel to one another and the door did hit the car it would be a straight scratch line from where it hit on contact until when it stopped [horizontal line not a vertical curved scratch].
Your core values states that you try to reduce the human trauma and the economical cost with automobile accident and your integrity regarding honesty is revered and your employees adhere to the highest ethical standards. However, the reporting factor did not happen in regards to me receiving points and my driving record high jacked without my knowledge based on two things; (1) I never received any formal letter with the Adjustors conclusion and (2) during this timeframe I was preparing to leave the country to work abroad. Which I have done at least a quarter of the time as I carried Progressive car insurance on my car.
Also in my investigation I found out the driver never had insurance with the insurance company which; they stated their car was insured with. Also since it was classified as an incident in accordance with the law enforcement insurance coverage under none moving violations are not checked. Claim# 115500862 pay-out roughly $ 874.00 (623.00 damages and 251.00 rental car). Basically the facts meaning the tangible evidence I have provided is out of the scope of payment rendered to Ms. Tonya Jordon is not understandable and it seems as if Progress treats their clients as cash cow’s instead of human being that add valuable information and resources to unique situations.
Do you not p***k me do I not bleed and I have been for sometime with this looming overhead. I’m certain you have this easily avail instead of me quoting my reference. If not Wikipedia is a great place to start.
I am sending a copy of this email, a compliant, and the enclosures to the Georgia State Insurance Department for meditations as well.

Please, review the attachments and contact me via email address provided below your conclusion. I would appreciate it very much if you could look into this for me Miss Griffith and provide some feasible explanation that would cause my driving record and premiums to be affected based on the evidences I have submitted.
