One day I lost my phone, and in doing so I informed Safelink. They replaced the phone and removed all the over 2000 minuted I had accrued, stating that it was the policy when replacing a lost phone. I was started with the staggering amount of time of 10 minutes. In time with careful and limited use I managed to acquire over 5000 minutes.
At this time I reported a minor problem with my current phone of having white print with a yellow background. Since the problem was not correctable they offered to replace the phone with a new one a LG 404g flip phone. When I received the new phone it was a Alticore which was not a flip phone and it was defective. I was told when reporting this that I should return the defective phone and I would receive the lg flip phone I was promised. However when I finally received the replacement phone it was again an alticore. This phone had many problems for me such as: 1) not bring a flip phone the method for use was impracticable as first you need to press a start button, then press a another key before you could make or receive a call. By the time I wanted to answer the phone after digging it out of my pocket pressing all those keys in the proper order that I had missed the call, plus there was another problem... that being I have very big fingers, and with the size of the keys and their distance from each other I could not dial without depressing 2 keys at once, so rendering the phone unusable for me.
I again called and spoke to a supervisor who promised that I would receive a new phone, again promising me an LG404g flip phone. When the new phone was finally sent to me it was another Alticore. At this time I requested that my old Samsung be reactivated and the told that they would send me a new simchip to do so. I then took the active sim chip out of the Alticore while waiting more than 2 weeks for thew new sim chip to arrive. Since the old phone was operating normally (same minor problem with the colors) I decided to leave the current sim chip in the phone. Subsequently I discovered that that I did not getting my minutes for 2 months I called Safelink to get he missing minutes. They informed me that they went to the alticore not Samsung I was using. At this point I had stiil over 4800 minutes on the Samsung phone. I was advised that they were sending me a new sim chip, and I should use the new one.
They deactivated to chip that was currently in use , so I had no service for 2 weeks till I got their new sim chip. All the Alticore cell phones were returned as they requested. When I finally got the new sim chip I placed it into the Samsung and noted that 4800+ minutes were on the phone plus the LOSS of the 250 minutes for December and January.
Immediately upon activation of the newest simchip the number of minutes was reduced down to 3000 now a loss of at lesst 1800 minutes (from 4800+ + 250 (the minutes for December and January)) giving a total of approximately 5050 minutes minutes that should have been. I immediately informed the technician who told me "not a problem as the missing minutes would be restored within 3 days", this did not happen!!
Sinc then I have been calling on average of every other day and habe been told "they will look into and verify. I get the same from the supervisors, and when I tried to speak to a manager she made me wail on hold for more than a 1/2 hour. When she finally answered the phone she was nasty, curt and hung up on me without even allowing me to say anything.
I am still fighting for restoration of 2050 minutes that have been arbitrarily been removed from ny account and and still being given the same run around answer they they are checking and verifying, with one exception, that being they told me that they cannot verify as the last phone the sent to me was reset and as a result the information was incomplete and and that they could not get a complete verification. They also verified that initialy there was over 5000 minutes on the Samsung before all this lies, deceptions, and put-offs started.
A neat and tidy way of forcing you to give up in frustration thus denyiny any resoultion to any situation.
