Satellite Direct advertised satellite TV access over internet, charged $50 and then almost none of the stations work and those that do are useless weather screens, or other. Internet
listed on other sites?

I was drawn to this site by multiple advertisers, all claiming that
I could view the Indianapolis 500 race live for May 30, 2011. I did not
research well ahead of time for possible fraud, because I was in a
hurry as the race was soon to begin. I paid about $51 for the one-time
fee and downloaded the software. Upon use, I could see there were
hundreds of sites, but most of them in Hindu, Chinese, and all manner
of other languages, all of no use to me. They had no directory
indicating what programs could be found where, only an obscure
station name, such as "Channel 27" or "Imedei", with some note
that they are News, Religious, and the language and that's it. No
idea what might be on. I guess you are supposed to click through
hundreds of channels and see if there is something you want to
waste your time on.
Well, I wanted an ABC station that was doing the broadcast. I searched
on ABC, only to find a few channels highlight that must have had some
affiliation with ABC. Well most of the channels are in some other
language. The remaining english ones had about half of them
being an ad for a premium movie service, above a quarter of the
remaining said they were not available, and then almost all the
rest were static weather display channels that you might see on
some local TV station of their local area and of entirely no use to
anyone else. Many others say the "site is blocked". Really useful.
Many other give a link to another TV site that is supposed to
have 3000 channels. When you go there, you see it is nothing
more than ads for yet more crap, without any TV access at all.
And then there are others that have a 30 sec ad playing before you
can look at anything (and usually find that the station is again useless).
Not only that, but trying each station in turn takes about 30 seconds
to come up to see that it is useless or broken or yet another ad.
This is a major rip off operation and I will work to see that these
crooks are shut down. Major piece of garbage. Stay away and
don't get taken by these thieves.
