Beginning in April of 2011 my son was incarcerated at Barnstable County Correctional Facility in Barnstable, MA.

Secures Technologies was the only organization that serviced inmate calling.  For 2 1/2 years a 30 minute phone call cost $0.89 per minute for a total of $26.70 plus a $3.95 connection fee.  Average of $30 for a 30 minute call.  To add funds to the inmate collect call account on my cell phone was $6.95 "administrative fee".  These costs are beyond excessive and are literally price gouging.   All of a sudden in 2014 the same identical 30 minute call started to cost $.021 a minute??  So for 30 monts I was paying 4 and 1/2 times the nationwide standard collect call cost.

When calling to pay the last remaining amount of $2.33 due on the account, I questioned the customer service representitive about the price gouging and a class action lawsuit.  Her response was it was simply a fluctuation in the market place on the pricing of the services.  

Securus Technologies was the only option for speaking to my son.  There "monopoly" of the Massachusetts county jail is not legal justification to extort dollars from customers.  My sons transfer to MCI-Cedar Junction was held up from March 21 to April 3rd, 2014.

I will partcipate in any class action suit against the company.  I have detailed records.  Customer # C-871869.

I am not paying the "remaining past due balance" of $2.33 that exists because of the above debit wireless admin fee of $2.99.  Seriously each of the 6 payments in the span of 14 days came with a $6.95 admin fee and a $3.95 connection fee.
