Select Portfolio aka Fairbanks Capital aka Contimortgage since 1994 when our mortgage was sold to them. There is no customer service, they are rude and impossilbe to speak to. They are using unfair billing and collection pracices. They have us owing over $15,000 in fees. They are unwilling to explain the fees. We started with a 20 year mortgage for $75,000 as of this date we have paid them over $100,000. We do not know the true balance on our account.

From the last bill, we owe over $76,000 which is more than the mortgage was sold to them???? We pay our taxes but they have an escrow account on the bill? The insurance rate that we are in disbute with them is over $3000 a year and it does not cover anything. They have ruined our credit by their unfair reporting to the creidt bureau to the point that we are unable to obtain homeowners insurance from another company nor can we refinance with another company.

Our monthly payment is $924 per month. We fell behind when my husband was out of work and then a few years later I was out of work. We have filed Chapter 13 four times to keep our home. Our interest rate is 14.49% How in America can this company continue to operate? We are hard working citizens with childern. We pay our mortgage with checks. They hold the payments until they are late which adds to the fees on top of the other fees that they make up.

Please help!!! They are trying to take our home away again. With what we have paid (copy of receipts and through bankruptcy) our home should be paid for. Can anyone help us can we all band together to rid this country of the company? Where are our representatives in Washington? Are they getting some type of payback for allowing this company to rip off the consumers. We are all hard working people and I do not understand how they continue to operate in this country. We have laws for everything but not this? How can we band together to shut them down? I will be righting to my congressman, representaIve and govenor. We must run them out of the country.
