Simple Filings BIG RIPOFF (SCAM) These IDIOTS stole $177 dollars from me to get me an EIN number. They make you believe they are a government agency. Their website is simplefilings.gov-tax.com/federal-ein/ . I called them to get my monney back and never got a refund. The **** on the phone told me that the website had info saying we could get an EIN directly with the IRS... SHE IS A LIAR... These people are THIEVES!!! BE AWARE... Kansas City Missouri

On 10/21 I went online to get an EIN number. I'm always very aware of online scams and usualy pay attention before typing my card number. The problem is, this scam company uses the website simplefilings.gov-tax.com/federal-ein which makes you think this is a government agency. So I felt safe when I saw the .GOV at the end and paid for the EIN. Later I found out they are a scam and I could've gotten the number for free. I was furious and called them right away. The first b**** I talked to told me that if I had read the first page it says 3 times that I could had gotten this number for free with the IRS. BIG FAT LIE, it doesn't say anywhere on the first page.
The second b**** I talked to said that she had no problem sleeping at night knowing that she works for a fraudulent company that rips off honest hard working people that are just trying to do things the right way, off course she can sleep at night cause it wasn't her money that got stolen. I'm trying to open a business to help me pay for my mom's medical expenses, I'm on a very tight budget and struggling as it is, and we are barely making ends meet. I felt robbed and used. I have talked to a friend on Youtube asking her to make a public video on her channel talking about this company. She has a little bit over 160.000 subscribers. So if you have a Youtube channel or you know someone that does go ahed and put it on youtube and help others from getting scammed by this bogus company.

You were not scammed. The website that YOU provided clearly states, “We are a fully independent expert filing service for Federal Tax IDs, also known as Employer Identification Numbers. We are not affiliated with the IRS - we work only for you, and only to improve your filing experience. You may research, prepare, and submit your own filing directly with the IRS for no charge”
Apparently the paragraph posted at the top of the page was not visible to you. Maybe the bold text isn’t bold enough? Perhaps the large rectangle around the statement isn’t large enough? At the bottom of the every page they repeat, “SimpleFilings is not affiliated with any goverment agency.” They repeated that statement after you selected the Start Now button. The repeated it again on the application page.
On the application page you checked the box next to:
I agree: that filling out these fields acts as a signature agreeing to the Terms of Service.
The Terms of Service that you agreed to includes the statement, “We are not affiliated with, endorsed, or approved by the Social Security Administration, US Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service, or any government agency.”
You leaped before you looked. Too bad.
The only error made by SimpleFilings is the incorrect spelling of government at the bottom of every webpage.
