At the end of August I ordered a second radio using the online promotion. The kit I ordered cost $44 shipped. After receiving the order and trying the radio out, I did not like it.
I called and got an RMA number and cancelled the service. The unit was shipped back to Sirius on 9/20 and received and signed for on 9/22.
On 9/26 after not seeing the credit to my bank card I called the customer service number. The way the customer service seems to work (I speak from experience of having to call 3 times) is that you get put on hold for 45 minutes, talk to a rep who will tell you to hold on just a minute while they access you record (probably a pee break) then put you on eternal hold until you are disconnected (they hang up on you).
After finally getting a rep who was more than helpful (I wish I had your name as I would thank you publicly) I was credited for the service. The radio would have to be handled thru their E-commerce dept. Remember this is at 45 minutes + per call so my day was pretty much shot after this.
On 10/1 I noticed another charge on my bank card for activation and service for the radio I had already returned a week before. After calling again and again getting put on hold for 45+ minutes I decided to dispute this charge with my bank.
As of today I have been credited the charge pending the bank investigation, but I have all my ducks in a row and I will have to tackle the refund of the radio itself another day.
Bottom line up to this point, I have had nothing but good things to say about Sirius, but now the customer service is horrible and they will try to sneak in charges that are not authorized. Possibly this is just a mistake on their side, but Sirius does not make it easy to resolve any issues.

you have to really watch those terms on those promotions, and i know you sent it back, but those automatic activations are done through third party, and cannot be helped as they are part of the terms. if the receiver is showing as returned, and everything is checked out, then you really should get those charges removed and have the agent place your RMA # on your account with a note to NOT reactivate as the radio is returned. i hope that you remain a customer with us as i know you had a hard time, and YES there are some excellent agents who want to help in any way they can, but if this isn't resolved, call back and get a supervisor to note the account so this doesn't happen again. hope this helps
