By gaining information from my add in Machinery Trader, Brandon, a Specialty Network (SN) representative contacted me by phone. He told me in order to sell my Caterpillar dozer, SN would market my machine at various sites. After he told me the fee would be $400, I refused due to the fee's very high amount. He then stated that this fee has a money-back guarantee and if my machine was not sold within 90 days, I would receive a full refund as long as I requested it before the 90-day period had expired. Questioning his words, I asked him what I would have to do to receive the refund. He said, "it's simple, just fill out a form and I will have my refund by mail within 30 days". After telling him my sell price, he said that my asking price was good and that he didn't see any problems with selling my machine. After 87 days I contacted SN to inquire about my refund. Ashley Stange told me that in order to receive my refund that I would have to: Prepare a statement of my request and have it notorized, Send a document proving my ownership, Fill out a request form and have it notorized, and Send a receit of the $400 I paid to SN. She also said that these had to be sent within 7 days after the 90-day period had expired and sent certified or registered mail. I did all these things required and sent them by certified mail (increasing my loss) only 4 days into their 7-day window. Twenty days after I sent the certified letter, I received a letter from SN which informed me that my request for a refund had been denied. SN further basically stated that their services were rendered and "SN reserves the right to alter, change, or terminate the 90-Day Quarantee Plan at any time and for any reason." I am furious at their fraudulent, misrepresenting tactics to sell their services. I would not have sent them $400 if they did not have this guarantee that Brandon boldly lied to me about to gain these funds and my trust. Frustrated Scam Victim
