Steak N Shake mistreatment, discrimination, liars, and crappy management. Huntsville Alabama

I worked for steak n shake for just under a year as the graveyard manager. I worked no less than 70 hours a week sometimes as many as 85, my salary included 50 + an award of 123.00 for my 6th day of work. I was forced to work with thieves liars drug addicts who by the way were geeked up on methadone, methenphetamines, and xanax they had and still have bleeding sores all over there body and walk up to tables scratching while taking and delivering orders.

In order to clean the restaurant I had to buy the supplies to do it as my gms bonus would be too small if he actually ordered them through the company. They regularly employ people who refuse to wait on black people and school aged children because they dont tip. I was cussed at by 16 and 17 year olds and my boss said they were using verbs so it didnt count, didnt count to call me a f****** B**** it wasnt me they were calling names it was fustration of the situation. sounded personal to me.

They had one that showed pornos in the restaurant and customers saw (I had that night off as id been in class all day) and gms solution ill put her on my shift and watch her, which means she has titties so she stays. If you followed the chain of command you were ignored on all levels, the higher up you go the less they care.

The girls are regularly sexually harassed by the male managers and the gm refused to deal with it. one of the managers hit a boy he got sent home and I had to work an 18 hour shift to cover for him. He still works there. The girls even called the companies sexual harassment line from the number in their employee handbooks, and nothing was ever done and it was never even looked into. I guess they like upper management provide you with places to go if you have trouble but they lead to nowhere. This is a good ole boys company, ask any female who tries to go anywhere in this company.

The management they have is running the company into the ground an i bet the original founder is rolling in his grave. Oh yeah their meat boxes say frozen beef and are super greasy when cooking i doubt that there steak like they profess, Ive never had that much grease while cooking steaks.

and did you know that they get 7 burgers out of a pound of meat and charge you all that money. They also said if what i told them was true id get my job back of all i had had to endure and while the gm was fired I still have no job.

They suck on so many levels, but if getting paid to do nothing is yer cup of tea, working in horrible conditions, being unappreciated no matter what you do or how hard you work, and that if your actually incompetent, lazy, worthless, no work ethic whatsoever then their always hiring.
