food service is a joke these days-- not a joke but a nightmare. it's almost as if you can't go anywhere without someone getting your order wrong, bad service rude service etc... the people that work these 'drive thrus' are dsigsuting and stupid people-- they are a**holes who are just pathetic and mean... in any way they can be... managers that work at these places are generally, immature jerks as well who have no care or regard for customer service...and will defend their nasty employees and mistreatment of customers.

hmm where do i start with steak n shake. been going to the one on 'university blvd' for years-- bad service with two bad employees during the night shift-- both very rude one especially nasty to a point where i would just avoid going to the place... if he answered- he just had to be very rude to me, and could not ever be nice--even mocked or laughed sometimes... called corporate dozens of times...nothing done... same employees working there at night the two especially.

even after complaining a manager came out one time and said "oh they only have problems with 'you' and no one else?" as if you are lying... instead of aplogizing for the bad treatment. same two employees are still working there after years and one when or if I ever order answers and if he hears my voice he leaves and let someone else takes the order!

So go to another one nearby soemtimes... decent service at first off and on sometimes rude but now it's getting bad--u go there deal with incompetent jerks and losers who get your order wrong, u have to drive back 3 times, they can't give you napkins even if you ask for them 3 times at this point... what is wrong with these incompetent rude idiots that work in food service these days... it used to already be 'bad' but now it's like a nightmare....

drive thrus are like the worst places to go and the only time you might get decent service is dine in and that's only because the server is interested in getting a tip it seems-- other than that no one cares... and if they want to, they will be so rude to you and get away with it-- like they are monsters or something total robots and jerks and not even people... and you can't ask for managers to help you because God forbid you will anger the minimum wage 'food service maniacs' who will then spit in your food if you complain or say anything 'against them'... like what?

and if you do get a manager you get some incompetent twit with no csutomer service or managerial skills who's fresh out of college, can barely speak a sentence and has the most arrogant or the dumbest 'duh' attitude possible....where is customer service...? what is wrong with these restaurants these days that are employed by the biggest jerks you can ever find anywhere- they can't get an order right- they are rude or obnoxious to customers if they want to be, and nothing is ever done about it? the same trash are always working there and getting promoted and continue with their bad service and bad treatment....

it's not fair to the paying consumer to have to endure this kind of treatment or bad service from incompetent and twisted employees at these knids of places... consumers have no power the twisted and mostly deranged employees do... and if it's not this kind of mistreatment or what not, then it's corporate nto caring, someone not caring or doign anything to help or rectify situations-- just people allownig employees to do what they want to whoever they want and get away with it-- it's just not right...

Go to the steak n shake on east colonial drive in Orlando Florida at any time of day and I guarantee you will be 100% satisfied with your visit. We treat everyone with the same respect and if servers are busy at the moment another employee will surely seat you or take your carry out order. Everyone is trained to do everything so they cant use the excuse i dont know how.

I guarantee you that you wont regret it.

Lady, I work at Steak n Shake. While I'm not exactly eager to defend SnS because they aren't good to their employees, I know the type of customer you are and I know you're full of s**t.


Steak n Shake employees get a bonus if the store meets certain criteria for the period, one of which is number of complaints. If someone emails or calls in and complains, it counts against the store. However, if a person continues to complain repeatedly about bullsh* nonsense the stores are not counted off for their complaints. This tells me that you have complained so much about bullsh* things that you are on their "list" of people who aren't counted as complaints. That's why nothing gets done when you complain.



Your reports indicate that you view all people who work at fast food to be stupid, low life. For one, I work at Steak n Shake and I'm in college studying advertising. I even got in to USC. In fact I think my rebuttal alone, which has things like capitalization and separation of paragraphs with indentation (not ellipses), shows that I'm smarter than you are so bite me. Also, the fact that you go to these places, complain repeatedly, YET YOU CONTINUE TO GO TO THOSE SAME PLACES shows me that you go for the sole purpose of complaining. Why? Because you are pathetic to the point that the only way you will feel good is by being very rude to people making an honest living knowing that they can't fight back.



Get some therapy or something. If you find yourself thinking that massive amounts of people are wrong and you're right, odds are you're wrong.

P.S. You've posted endless reports about all these drive thru experiences, like how the female employees are jealous of your beauty. I have news for you sweet cheeks, if you go through drive thru that often you probably aren't very attractive and since you live in Orlando and complain all the time to restaurants, you're probably older than the wheel.

You may think this is an exaggeration, but it's not. I used to work there and it was hell. They hire some of the rudest, meanist, and worst people out there. The women are sexually harassed all the time and no one cares. The good employees are bullied into submission and silence and often leave in a huff. We would get so many complaints on drive through it was ridiculous. I wish this report wasn't true, but it is.

as an employee of steak n shake, i know how they work in the corporate office and even in the managers office. however, at the store i work at, we strive for customer satisfaction. we very rarely have a complaint and if we do, we do everything in our power to make it right. yes, the managers are very cheap and avoid giving out free food to customers who are dissatisfied, but the employees do so behind their back. i have been with the company for 3 years, and no i am not happy with the way the company runs, that does not stop me from trying everything in my power to make my customers as well as others as welcome and relaxed as possible. i only wish you were able to visit my store so your opinion towards the entire steak n shake corporation would change. im sorry for your bad experiences

I was a manager in the food service industry for over 5 years. I dealt with some problems with my staff in they way they treated the customers.

I do agree with Melissa, in the respect that the teeneagers can be rude and snotty. However, I live in the Orlando area and frequent these facilities. I don't have near as many problems as you do. I go through the drive-thru along with going inside.

I occassionally get poor service, and I let the manager know. But as a manager, I can tell you, that we can generally figure out who is in the wrong.

The saying the "customer is always right" is WRONG. We in the food service industry are only human. We are just as human as you. We have bad days and good days. We try our best not to pass those on to others but it does happen.

I had a regular at my McDonald's that came in with a horrible attitude every single day. My staff smiled at her, greeted her, and bit their tounges, because she treated them like crap.

She complained to me every single day about something that was wrong. It was usually petty stuff. So I finally told her to go elsewhere, in a very nice way. Granted you may think that the fast food industry only employees idiots and people who are jealous of you, but that is so far from the truth.

There are very successful people working in fast food. Mangers making upwards of $75,000 a year. They go to college, they get certifications from their respective states. They are very smart people.

As for the regular employees, you were their age once. You probably worked in a restaurant at some point. They are trying. Give them some credit. If it wasn't for them, you wouldn't be getting your food from a drive thru anyway.

Robert and Striderq are on a few corporate payrolls and spend their time defending big business on sites like these. It's their job to put down the consumer and try to mitigate the damage reporters such as you can do to corporations by trying to present you in the worst light possible. So the manager mentioned that the two employees only had problems with you. Hmmm, and according to Robert's reply you seem to have problems at other places. Maybe the manager was correct. If the two employees can serve 100 customers a night (for example) and the only complaint (constantly) is from you, maybe the problem is you and not the servers.

Oh and by the way, my friend's comment was if one man calls you an a*s ignore him but if six men call you an a*s go but yourself a bridle.

I have seen this kind of customer before.

Everyone else is incompetent, but her.
She wants everyone to cater to her.
She never orders anything just the way it comes. All special orders.

She needs to open her own fast food restaurant and run it.
I doubt that she could, as she appears to be illiterate too.

It's easy to point fingers, but never do it until you look in a mirror.

Fast food jobs suck, and pay nothing.
You get what you pay for.

You do have a theme going through all of your MANY(and I do mean MANY reports). I think your two latest ones was McDonalds and Chick-fill-a.

1. You have gone to these places over and over and ALWAYS get horrible service.

2. The Females at the location seem to have an issue with you because you are so "hot" and they are jealous. The males are incompetent jerks.

3. They never get your order right, or give you an attitude about some strange request you make.

4. The management is always incompetent, and never wants to do anything for you. Even after you call the corporate office over and over.


Just as you are well known on RipOffReport you are probably well known in the Orlando area. Which may be why you don't seem to be getting anywhere with any of the management you call incompetent. So again...It may not be everyone else who is rude and incompentent..it may be YOU.
