Stevens Transport Abusive Trainers quietly ripping off there trainees Dallas, Texas

Hello gentlemen,

I am not going to complain about the pay or home time or there lack of care about there drivers.  All true but we can say the same about other companies. I am going to say that they do not screen there trainers. or at least an honest attempt to do so.

I obtained my CDL during the winter time right before Christmas so I was actually stuck for about 2 weeks after obtaining my CDL at the yard Finally after the first week of January I was assigned a trainer. I flew out to meet my trainer I met him in a truck stop in Georgia. I spent my first weeks with him he did not complete my training. He would scream and yell and was very abusive to me he would often wait till we get on patches of ice or bad weather to let out loud bursts yelling to see if he could make me jump or would say off colored racist sexist and even gay jokes all offensive to me  I reported all of this behavior to my driver Councillor she blew it off saying I needed to "man up".

With about 1 week left with this trainer something bad happened that I couldn't forgive I had been riding shotgun and we stopped in a truck stop I was listening to my laptop he was up to his usual antics yelling screaming on top of his voice trying to get my attention not to instruct but to spout his verbal garbage. I put my laptop in the back of the chair (a built in pocket in the back) and went to the restroom and to grab a water. When I came back the Laptop was sitting on the front  with a road salt boot print. 

Yes my trainer did put his boot to my laptop yes he did break it. Yes I did report it yes they refused any liability and No they did not replace it or repair it. I was fine with that. I finished my training with him he gave me good marks. He however did not finish my trainer so I waited another week in a hotel for the next nightmare trainer. This one got me my last qualifying mountain. He too was quick tempered egotistical and abusive but I got through it.

Onto phase two trainer This was actually a good trainer but again my luck was bad with a week left to go we were called back to the yard and he was pulled off the truck by a US Marshal. The Marshal asked me questions like did you notice anything on a laptop or T.V. and I really didn't. I to this day I have no Idea why he was pulled off the truck and I didn't bother to ask why.

Last trainer worst of them all I met just outside of Dallas. The minute I got on the truck is the Minute I should have turned around and went back to the yard and refused this guy. we got rolling after about three days he started cussing and being verbally abusive. He actually threatened to physically harm me not that I was worried he was 1/2 my size and about 100 lbs lighter. Then he started trying to get me to say that I was driving so he could go over on his hours. (illegal logging). I contacted my Councillor she told me she was taking me off the truck I waited in Huston for 13 hours finally I gave up and called them to quit. They then told me I had to find my own way home stranding me in Huston Texas. 

Here is what I am trying to say. Make sure you are mentally prepared to put up with a mentally abusive and quite possibly physically abusive situations. They do not screen there Trainers at all or make little attempt to screen them. From the people in my class this has happened. One of my friends got a knife pulled on him in the truck he had to fight the trainer to get off the truck. Another trainer pooped in a box at a truck stop and tried to get the trainee to dump it for him. I do not know about how it is to work for Steven's after training but come prepared to deal with any situation leave personal belongings home and don't believe the employees there because they do show favoritism and they treat there trainees like garbage there making 10k per training they really do not care if you stay on with them or not.
