Stevens Transport Bad instructors at the stevens transport school. bad dispatchers at the home base Dallas, Texas

I was a driver at stevens transport for a short period of time. I went thru the stevens transport school and was not taught much I was ousted b y the instructors at the school, they did not like me and a few of the other students, they treat the school as if it were the military.

I was given barely any training, was only allowed to take the truck out 4 times and was never taught anything about pti, or post trip. I made several complaints to Mike Nunn, Mike Unser the heads of the school and was called a liar I told the safety department and was told to talk to the school supervisors.

I was then put out into a truck with a trainer, the trainer was an Alliance driver and did not make any money and I think I knew more about driving than he did it was a  rugged 5 weeks. the stevens rtransport training course is broken up into  first 5 week trainer, OR2, 3 week finishing trainer. when i made it to OR2 i was still clueless about everything from backing to driving once again they sept me under the carpet and was allowed to proceed on.

when i made it to finishing trainer we did a repower in W. Memphis,AR a student like myself he was ostracised and was put behind the wheel of a big truck witout any training he had only been out on the road for 4 days and veerd out of his lane and hit a SUV. killing a 6 year old girl in the proccess. i talked to him and his trainer. me and the student had simular stories i will never foget that expierence.

I imagine the family of the girl is currently suing the company i hope the instructors who pencil whipped the student on the road get fired. but alas they still work there to this day i recently quit stevens transport after watching them screw over countless Alliance drivers "lease operators" give them no miles and expect them to pay the truck note. stevens has undercut alot of people and drivers in the past year i wanted to get this off my chest if u r thinking of working for stevens dont or at least think if the company is right for you. its not for me.
