When my vehicle had 30K miles i needed tires. I requested the manager for the best BF Goodrich tire made, he set me up with 70K mile tires. After 16K miles, i went back because they seemed to have worn alot in just that time frame. The manager looked at the tires and took a measurement. It was 7/32. He also noticed all 4 tires had the same wear and none of them showed any indication of the vehicle being out of alignment. he asked if i was rotating them and said yes i am rotating them, he said good.


I asked if i could have a price reduction if i purchased another set of tires and he said there shouldn't be a problem, come back in a few months and will check the measurement again and we'll see what we can do.


After 55K miles (25K on the new tires), I went back and the same manager was there. He instintly gave me a cold shoulder and made me feel like i was wasting his time. He reluctantly came out to take another tire measurement, it was at 7/32. He said i should not be taking curves doing 80mph. He also asked if the rotation was being done, i said yes, i am doing them every 6K miles. He said "your doing the rotation, not a tire company/dealer"? I said i am. He said we cannot do anything, you have no receipts for the rotations. Even though each tire shows the same even wear? He said sorry, take care.

tire measurement error

Sorry, first measurement is 7/32. second is 5/32 not 7/32 as indicated in the complaint

Both times the depth was 7/32". Looks fine to me.
