I am Isaac A, the owner of Imperial Palms. When I was sold the media package over the phone I was told by the salesman Mr. Torres that it was a trial run for $400 and if I did not get 300 leads in one month I could cancel for free. for starters I got 23 leads not 300. To make matters worse though when I got a bill in the mail it said that it was 400 a month for 12 months. This 400 a month was news to me. I was sold a package at the cost of a one time $400 fee. I immedietly called Mr Torres and informed him that I wished to cancel any further online advertising as well as any recurring mailer advertising. This call was placed within one month of the start date. Mr Torres said he did not have authorization to cancel and gave me his supervisors number named Susan. I called 4-5 times a day to attempt cancellation with Susan. No answer and never a call back. I continued to recieve ad bills from supermedia. After two months I went online to investigate Supermedia for myself . Turns out there are many companies that have went through the same con experience with supermedia that I went through.

Similar experience

We had a very similar experience, especially with the lack of contact.  Within 2 weeks after we signed the contract, after feeling uncomfortable with the service and reading similar reviews, I decided to cancel the contract.  The agreement says cancellation can be within 21 days and we were well before that.  Our rep, after realizing I would not change my mind, said we had to wait for a call from her supervisor.  he never called.  I called him twice and left messages, I faxed and e-mailed a cancellation letter to her and to the above mentioned e-mail and I have still yet to have gotten confirmation of cancellation.  I am very concerned that we, like you, will continue to be charged for a service we legitimately tried to cancel in accordance with their own contract.

The name was DeTore, Not Torres

It's been a year since that con job called me. After I went through my old e-mails to find him I discovered that I had notated his name incorrectly on my report. His full name is Andrew DeTore. I was sold on a one time payment of $400 dollar package that I could cancel if 300 leads were not generated. I got 23 leads. And a bill for $4,800. Turns out that Me DeTore failed to divulge that it was $400 a month for 12 months not just one $400 dollar payment. None of the E-mails that I have saved reflect that it was 400 for 12 months either.  I tried to cancel as I stated in my report and they refused by not answering my calls, and not complying with my cancellation requests that I left 4 times on a supervisor named Susan's voicemail. After one year now of not paying for a fraudulant con jobs slaes package the $400 that turned into $4,800 has now accrued up to $8,400.
