Sometimes in May, I received an offer to convert my "expiring Delta airlines miles" (about 8000 of them) into magazine subscriptions. According to the offer, my miles total allowed me to receive a full year of the following:

Time, Fortune, Wall Street Journal and the Economist.

In June,  I started to receive all magazines.

But I received so far only one issue of Fortune and the Economist.

I called the Economist (the subscription on the paper was to last until June 26 2010) and they informed me that "Synapse had stopped the subscription", and that I could call 1-800-250 3525

I called Synapse and they indicated to me that "I did not have enough on the account".

What do I do now?? 

Delta airline will tell me that when I subscribed to the magazines, they relieved themselves of their obligation.

Synapse is the only entity I can talk to, and they just changed the rules on me... They explain to me that "my account has not enough miles" although it clearly had enough when they started the subscription. I DID receive ALL the magazines, although only ONE issue, instead of the full year expected... And I would never gone for that offer if I had not expected to receive the magazines for a full year.

I am supposed to receive a phone call within 5 days of "customer service". They'll probably tell me again that "I have not enough on my account",

as in

"Gee! just after you subscribed and we started the subscriptions (ya remember receiving ONE magazine, don't ya!) we changed our terms, see, and guess what? What used to buy you 50 issues now only buys you one.... Isn't that s'mthg??Oh, you feel disappointed and ripped-off? Soooorry".

Typical bait-and-switch!!
