I have a T-mobile account with four active phone numbers. Last year in June 2011, I called t-mobile and inquired about upgrading 2 of my phone lines to data plans (contratcs) with new new phones. We finally set up a data plan that I could best afford.

A year has gone by and I had decided to switch to AT&T so to try my luck with the new iphone 5. My plan was to close the remaining 2 phone lines that I thought I did not have active contracts with t-mobile and keep the other 2 contracts active until they were satified.

I called t-mobile and spoke to a representative and explained what I wanted to do with the 2 no-contract phone lines. I was told that the 2 phone lines were under contract and that they would charge $200 per line if I wanted out of the contract.

It turns out that when I upgraded 2 of my phone lines, they also renewed the other 2 phone lines for 2 yrs WITHOUT telling me this.

After about 20 minutes of arguing with these people, they told me I could write t-mobile a letter explaining my situation and that I would then hear from them within 10-15 business days. I waited a month for a reply that I never received. I called t-mobile back to follow-up on my letter, spoke to a rep and was told I was given the wrong address.

My letter had gone to the wrong department and that it would be forwarded to the correct department for review. I explained to them that I was very upset that I was given the wrong mailing address. So they give a e-mail address so that they can process my letter much faster.

I sent them an e-mail to t-mobile. Didn't hear from them, 2 weeks went by, I called them again, spoke to a rep. that said "we sent you an email" a few days ago, to check my inbox. I checked and did not see an email from them. T-mobile in my strong opinion knows that they are deliberatly taking advantage of their customers!!!

I have been a t-mobile customer for 12 years!!! and never have I had contract issues like this before. If this type of poor business transactions are taking place with every major phone giants, we the consumer are in trouble with practically no legal support behind us.
