Bought a Brand New Samsung phone from tmobile, with a new upgraded family plan. Screen broke 2nd day I got it, brought it back to tmobile days later and was told that even though it was within the warranty time, this warranty did not cover type of damage. Under contract, the phone should have been replaced, but went back home to think of options.

The next day we called back claiming we would take this story to WCCO and have it all over the news, Tmobile decided that they would give us a loophole to get a new phone. They told us to get insurance that would cost us monthly but then the $300 phone could be replaced. Well we got insurance and asked for the new phone and then we were told that we had to pay an extra $100 replacement fee for a new phone.

WHAT TOTAL BS!! they tell us one thing and then they go ahead and fool us. We payed the fees and got the new phone, did not want to make a hassle, waiting for agreement to end with tmobile so we dont have to pay an extra $200 termination fee, and so we can get off this shitty phone company which also sucks with customer and phone service.

All I can say is go with anyone but Tmobile, what a bunch of horse crap their business runs

I'm currently a PCS Handset Technician, and fix PCS phones all day, everyday. I can assure you, the LCD didn't just "break". Was it cracked? What exactly happened with it? I'd assume it was physical damage, and at that point, the warranty is VOID! At that point, they do NOT have to replace your handset. It is not the fault of T-Mobile that you didn't purchase handset insurance. They actually committed insurance fraud, by allowing you to add insurance AFTER the handset was already broken. Now, you're complaining you had to pay a DEDUCTIBLE for a new phone!? Phone insurance is exactly like car insurance. If your car is damaged, you pay a deductible to have it repaired. It's the same with a PCS phone. If the phone is damaged, you pay a DEDUCTIBLE to receive a new phone.

This has nothing to do with T-Mobile. You broke the phone.

If you think that ATT or Sprint will be better....you'll be in for a rude awakening. Verizon has a very "blame the customer" orientation for any problem that arises with their phones. T-Mobile isn't perfect, but in my experience it's the least evil of the cell carrier giants.
