Found a car on eBay that I liked. Called the number provided, and they asked for a deposit of $500. I gave them my info and asked what the bottom line, out the door price with TTL and ALL fees would be. Was told the same price TWICE, as was my boyfriend. Then when I authorized the deposit charged, they told us a price significantly higher than we were originally told. I called back to inquire and the salesman (Johnny) was IMMEDIATELY defensive, quickly going through the charges as if I was incompetent, yelling that he could listen to the conversation I had with the gentleman who took my deposit information, after I told him I specifically asked the man how much the final price would be. I calmly said that would be fine if he called me back and he hung up on me and has yet to call back. In the meantime I immediately called my bank to stop payment. Luckily they were able to help me and stopped it before the company could send it through.
Between my boyfriend and myself, we have dealt with 5 different people there, with nothing solved. These people know what they're doing. They're rude and extremely unprofessional. They know how to give just enough information to cover their butts and to rip you off. DO NOT use this company. I've read many complaints alleging similar issues and even worse.

Extremely Pleased!

I flew to Houston with my wife and was picked up at Hobby airport by Texas Direct Auto to go look at cars on a Saturday. I felt very good about our experience at Texas Direct Auto. We test drove a Maserati all by our selves for a few hours and returned back to the dealership. They sold us the car and did everything they said they would do after negotiating a price prior to arrival. We received a very fair price and very fair treatment. I would actually have to say it was the easiest auto transaction I have ever made other than my cash being counted at least three times before we walked out the door and drove our Maserati home. I even lost a bet with my wife that the finance department or man doing the closing would try to sale us on additional items and or extended warranties that I would not be interested in. My wife said they are not going to push anything on us and she won the bet. I hate to see others have a bad experience as I have recommended to many friends and family members that they look into doing business with Texas Direct Auto in Stafford Texas. It was also my understanding from many similar large online car dealers that they all list the cars on ebay as a free way of advertising. I would strongly recommend to others that they take the time to test drive a vehicle and look at any and all back ground documentation on the history of a used car. This is easy to get online with the VIN number and cost very little or is often provided to me free of charge before making a purchase. It is always best to get in writing what is agreed on by both parties and there will be less of a chance for mis understanding or deception.

They are not honest

The pictures are fake, the cars are not in great shape, I was shocked at how rude the people are, do your homework first. Do not buy over the internet, You will be shocked. They are in BED with Ebay, that is why they do not have any negatives. Ebay protects them, and will not let you leave them a negative. DO NOT BUY from them.

You've Got To Be Kidding! They Helped You In The Long Run.

Unless my eyes are going bad, what you were planning to do was send your money off to somebody you don't know (even if it was a dealer), to buy a USED CAR without test driving it or even seeing it!
Incredible.
What would you have done when this car turns out to be a piece of junk? I doubt if you live in such an isolated area void of car dealers.
Consider this experience as someone watching over you. What you were about to do was completely VOID OF COMMON SENSE.
Buy a used car locally, which you can actually see, check out and have your mechanic check over.
