Just like most of us here. I was ripped off my the snakes at The Learning Annex. My wife and I were interested in buying and selling real estate for profit. So last year we paid for and attened the worthless "Swap meet" of what they call a seminar. Of course we felt like we waisted our time and money because we got nothing out of it.
We spent all day hearing about all this money this guy and that guy made, then they tell us we need to spend a few thousand dollars to buy the info on how to do the same thing. Anyway, we took it as a hard lesson learned.
The tickets were not worth the paper they were printed on. We had to eat the money we spent on them. About a month ago I got a call on my cell phone from some sales lady at The Learning Annex, asking me if I wanted to sign up for some My Learning Annex online class crap.
I dident even want to talk to her and quickly said, i'm not interested right now. She said well, can I verify your email address so I can send you some information? So I did. A few weeks later, I got a $39.99 Charge to my credit card from My Learning Annex that I DID NOT authorize.
I was FURIOUSE. I quickly called them and they told me that I signed up for this "My leanring Annex" and that I was sent a log in and password for the website. I NEVER got an email. It may have gotton caught by my spam filter, but at any rate I never wanted it or used it and wanted my money back.
They lady on the phone name Christy was VERY RUDE, and told me I would have to EAT the 40 bucks because it's a non refundable charge for services rendered. I told her I never even got the email, or gave them my credit card number.
She said they got my credit card number from the tickets we bought last year, and that they will not refund the money even if I went to my bank to dispute the charge. Aparently, this happens all the time, because she said "We get this all the time! and out policy is NO REFUNDS".
I'm so upset I don't know what to do. Not only is The Learning Annex a JOKE, but they are CROOKS! People, don't EVER DO ANY BUSINESS with them. After they get your credit card number, they will charge you when ever they feel the need to.

As promised, as soon as we were able to identify the student, we gave the student his money back in its entirety. Since 1980, The Learning Annex has satisfied over one million students.
