I was given a code to purchase tickets to Toronto's Real Estate and Wealth Expo that was held this past weekend on March 24-25th,'07. The code would allow me to buy tickets for $39 AND they would waive the registration fee!! I was extremely excited because tickets were anywhere from $99-179
(I later found out that quite a few people had actually been given free tickets!)

But for some reason, even though I had previously called in and confirmed the code as active with the representatives AND on the website SEVERAL TIMES, when I called back to place the order on the 22nd, they SUDDENLY claimed that the code had been expired since the 20th.

Not only did they blatantly lie about this supposed expiry date,(which was never mentioned on the flyer or anytime before), but they were disgustingly rude about it. To the point where I had to wonder if they received ANY type of training WHATSOEVER. So i ask to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor got on and proceeded to talk to me as if I was a peice of dog manure under her foot. It was just unbelieveable.

I can say in all objectivity that this women had NO reason whatsoever. It was so completely unprovoked. And that is what really disturbes me even moreso than the straight lie they tried to feed me about the expiry date. I wonder about an organization that would employ someone in a position such as supervisor, who would speak so demeaningly and condescendingly with absolutely no provocation whatsoever, to a CUSTOMER.

For those who are considering attending next years expo, think twice before you spend $179. I did end up going to the event and I got me AND a friend in using free tickets. That nasty supervisor and the representatives actually did me a huge favour! Even more so since the event was nothing more than one big informercial.

Even Donald Trump's speech was nothing but a bunch of filler and swear words sprinkled with a couple of the most BASIC facts of business. I hesitate to call it a worthless event only because I'm an optimistic person who always seems to find the good in even the worst of things.

Furthermore, if you look up some of the names of the very people that had "lectures" at the event right here on ripoffreport.com, you'll notice that quite a few of them have been reported on more than one occasion.

On a positive note, I really like the concept of the wealth expo. One day I hope that somebody who is actually interested in genuinely educating the people, takes the initiative and puts it together.

THE LEARNING ANNEX DOES OFFER CERTAIN LIMITED DISCOUNTS ON EXPO TICKETS

AUTHOR: Simon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 09, 2007

The Learning Annex offers limited discounts on the price of tickets to our Real Estate & Wealth Expos. As this student notes, these discounts sometimes have time limitations. We also make certain limited discount offers to members of large groups or associations.

We are sorry to hear that this student had a disappointing experience with our customer service team. We work diligently to ensure that all of our students are satisfied learners. The Real Estate & Wealth Expo is a wonderful learning opportunity. We have been in business for over twenty years teaching our students how to better themselves.
