On January 11, 2015 I placed an order with Thrifty Propane.  On the order I indicated that I had been lax in monitoring my propane supply and the guage was currently reading zero (0), even though I still had propane.  I received a call back from someone within 30 minutes, on a Sunday, asking if I wanted to pay the extra $$$ for an emergency shipment.  I told her I could hold out and wait for the delivery, which, in the past, had taken 3-4 days.  10 days later I emailed Thrifty to find out where my delivery was.  At this point, I was out of propane which meant no heat, no cooking, no clothes dryer, and worst of all (cold showers).  I had to go around and put electric space heaters in critical locations in my house to ensure that the pipes would not freeze.  I continued to call Thrifty every day, leaving messages with whoever answered the phone.  Everyone was polite (even though I was not) but I NEVER received a call back and I NEVER received any propane.  Finally, on January 26, 2015 I found another propane supplier who would fill my tank and paid them to do so.  I called the Thrifty Propane billing office and yelled at the clerk (Erik)...hey, you try taking a week of cold showers!  Anyway, he listened and, true to form, never followed up.  So, now I am relegated to filing a claim in the Chester County Court of Common Pleas in an attempt to get back the money that I had given to Thrifty as part of their prebuy program in March 2014.  What a pain in the butt!  I should have realized that things were headed south with Thrifty last winter.  On two separate occasions they showed up and would not fill my tank.  They would only pump 200 gallons, even though they had my prebuy money.  Argggg!
