Ticket Galaxy Ticket Galaxy selling tickets they don't have, redirect from other website, 3 month wait to receive tickets nearly on day of performance South Windsor Connecticut Internet

Don't buy tickets from Ticket Galaxy, or NewYorkCityTheatre.com, the website associated with TG. Hard to know if they are in on the scam too, or not. I thought I was buying tickets directly for a play in 3 months. The prices were so high that I opted for buying 2 tickets within a block/section of the theater. I assumed I would be assigned seat numbers within that section. Wrong. When I got the e-receipt, it became clear that Ticket Galaxy is not currently in possession of these tickets. Their receipt first indicated I was even dealing with Ticket Galaxy at all. Then it said my tickets would arrive by December 20th - the date of the play! I live out of state and that is unacceptable. I had even paid for express delivery. TG is widely known for overpricing, providing lesser seats and in some cases not providing tickets at all.

I have purchased tickets from 3rd party resellers on-line before, in which cases I knew the company name, the face value, the mark-up, the exact seat numbers, and the date the tickets would arrive. None of that applies to this case. I am filing complaints with the AG's office and BBB in Connecticut and disputing the transaction through my credit card company.
