December 7th my Grandparents decided to purchase 3 phones the Acatel One Touch Feirce, one of the phones being a Christmas gift they gave me. I purchased a soft silicone case built for the phone model and kept the phone on a stable surface, no signs of damage. The first week of using this phone the battery would fail to fully charge. Within an hour the battery remained at less than half a bar. After a few days had passed the phone began to freeze and had shut off. After an hour of leaving the phone on the charger, it turned on again. The next day when I went to make a call the phone shut off again. I left the phone on the charger and nothing would happen, after a week of being without a phone I was forced to contact Tmobile represenitives. I was told that a recent batch of these phones had a bad factory update that resulted in a failure of the phones setup. I was told by Kenny, who was the first call represenitive I had spoken to that the phone would be replaced new as a result due to a factory error. He ensured me that the fee and the express shipping to deliver the phone would be waved.
After more than 2 weeks waiting for the phone to arrive, upon opening I discovered that the replacement phone was wrapped in a clear packing tape that had animal fur stuck throughout the tape and inside the speaker. I sat for 30 minutes removing the individual hairs that were sticking out of the speaker. I ended up having to use tape to grasp the hairs and pull them out with twissors. There are still hairs all through this phone as well as scratch marks and dents all around the frame. It looks like a small breed got ahold of this phone, I am not entirely sure how this was approved through a Tmobile service tech before shipment, in such horrible condition. I immediently call Tmobile customer service where I then was told that the exchange policy was not 30 days, it was 14 days. It was also confirmed that this was in fact a used phone. So, I have 7 days to ship back a brand new, crisp phone that arrived with a bad factory update that they admitted was one of the phones confirmed in the batch release and in replacement I get a phone that has chips, dents, scratches, animal hair sticking out of the device speaker and pieces of tap still stuck to the back of this phone. Really? I think this is the worst I ever have been ripped off. I don't think this site does this enough justice!
