If you call Toyota's National # 1-800-331-4331 and ask a Customer Service Rep this question: If I purchase a Certified Pre-Owned Toyota at a Toyota Dealership (say a 2005 Corolla) and it develops ENGINE SLUDGE while the warranty is still in effect, and I service the car appropriately and keep ALL service records, and all oil-change records, will Toyota pay for the repairs or replace the engine?
What do you think the answer would be? Today, I called that # and the Rep that I spoke with said, 'No, Toyota WILL NOT cover the repairs or replace the engine.'
So, I encourage everyone else to make the call and see what they say to you! If they do say that they WILL cover the repairs, make sure to get that Rep's full name and have him or her e-mail you that repairs will be covered!
Make sure to 'Google' the two words- ENGINE SLUDGE and read the newest complaints!
Also, if GOOGLE and RIPOFFREPORT combined as ONE Company, it would be the most powerful company on the Planet! And, the most Powerful force in the Universe!! It could take down corporations and even Governments!! Maybe the guys who started Google should think about it! The future of the World could finally be in the hands of the PEOPLE, where it should be!!

At 10:15 A.M., Mountain Standard Time, I called Toyota's Toll Free # 1-800-331-4331 and spoke with a Rep named 'Jane'. I asked her about 'Potential Sludge Problems' in 2005 & 2006 Toyota Corollas. She said that there were NO SLUDGE PROBLEMS IN THOSE VEHICLES! I asked her who I could speak with that could verify that, at Toyota. She said, quote: 'There is NO ONE here that you can speak with in regards to that.'
I then asked her who the CEO of Toyota was so I could send him a letter. She said, quote: 'Mr. Funo.'
Mr. Funo was the CEO of Toyota back in 2004 that received my letter that had evidence attached regarding Sales Practices that VIOLATED CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS. So, why is Mr. Funo back at the Helm of Toyota? (assuming it's the same Mr. Funo.)
What on GOD'S GREEN EARTH is going on at Toyota??? Mr. Funo is replaced by Jim Press in June of 2005, just after the 9News Investigation in Denver, Jim Press QUITS just after the SLUDGE POEM was Posted here on ripoffreport.com, and now, Mr. Funo is back!!??
Why won't anyone at Toyota answer questions about POTENTIAL SLUDGE problems that could affect their POTENTIAL PURCHASE of a Certified Toyota Vehicle? By the way, you can 'Google' TOYOTA CERTIFIED WARRANTY and you will also be directed to ripoffreport.com so you can get BOTH SIDES of the story!!
I will be sending a LETTER to Mr. Funo this week to see if HE can answer the SLUDGE PROBLEM questions that I have. And maybe he can give that LETTER to his Lawyers like he probably did with the one I sent to him on 12-12-2004 that he IGNORED! But guess what America? 9News Cared!! They DID NOT IGNORE IT!!
