Verizon FIOS FIOS, Verizon False Advertising with Visa Gift Cards lynbrook new york

After having been a loyal customer of Verizon FIOS for 2 years, my contract came to an end.  Of course they did not want me to go back to Cable so they throw out all the stops to get you to resign.  After voicemails left on my home phone and emails that stated I would get a $200 gift card I figured why not sign-up again for 2 more years.   I even confirmed a month later after signing up to see when my gift card would come, they pulled up my account and said yes I qualified and it would be after 90-days of service.  90-days came and went and then the fun begins.  I got to waste/spend hours of my life calling and speaking to reps online who all suddenly had no record of a $200 Visa gift card.  Time and time again, getting the same old story.    I opened a case with the BBB only to get Verizon Exective Relation's Department located in up-state NY.  They were anything but helfpul as they went to investigate what I already told them I was told by their countless representatives.  So, basically it is all just them jumping through a hoop before they brush you off.

Their false advertising is a joke, they appreicate a 'new' customer any day over an existing customer.   May 2016 cannot come fast enough when my contract is up.

I did downgrade my cable service to a lower plan, once I found out that HBO could be watched now on AmazonPrime for $99/year (along with other useful benefits) why was I paying $20+tax a month more for the awful service of Verizon Fios.  I will make the $200 back and then some and then bye bye Verizon.  It was nice knowing you, but your false advertising and lack of resolving this matter will make me go back to your competitor where at least they have a simple price plan with no fake Visa Gift Cards.
